About my blog

I named my blog Brews, Bites, and Sights because those are the three reasons I travel. Travel for me is about the manifestation of happiness. The memories we take away from our trips are a culmination of the feelings we have about the places we visit. Our time and money spent while traveling is precious. This is why I don’t want to waste one sip or bite on something I don’t like or miss something worth seeing. And I don’t want you to either. That is why the goal of my travel blog is to not only share some of my favorite places but also to give you the insight you need to seek out and discover these places on your own.

About me

I am Courtney, a Florida girl with New England roots, currently living in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I work remotely and travel every chance I get. I am a picky traveler so I only share the best of the best on my blog.

I grew up in New Hampshire and went to high school in Massachusetts. For college, I moved to Winter Park, Florida and stayed in the Orlando area after I graduated. 2010 was my first real travel experience. I went on Semester at Sea over the summer and traveled to 8 countries; I’ve been hooked on travel ever since. While in Orlando I completed my Master’s Degree online in Digital Marketing. I moved on from Orlando to West Palm Beach where I worked a 9-5 job that I despised. After a year I quit and started working part-time and contract jobs which gave me a lot more flexibility.

I also met my boyfriend, Andrew in West Palm. Last year, an unexpected job offer for Andrew allowed us to move to Europe. I now work 100% remotely for two companies, one that sells wholesale garden pottery and a tech company that provides digital accessibility services. I do everything related to digital marketing including web design, graphic design, digital media, and content creation. With my experience traveling, writing, and designing websites, it just made sense to start a travel blog. In fact, I should have started it years ago! Better late than never.

I don’t know whats next for us, but we’ll take any opportunity that’s an adventure and allows us to travel.
